The story

Off to the West! Your escape from the GDR starts right now. It's December 31st in the 80s: while Berlin sinks into a New Year's Eve frenzy, you plan the big coup. It's supposed to be somewhere in a border apartment - the secret path to freedom. Can you make it over the wall before the corks pop in the West? Experience a humorous journey through time full of East German nostalgia and cult charm. Note for returnees: We've given "Go West" a proper makeover! The game has been completely overhauled, but still offers around 40% of the familiar puzzles in a new guise.
